Connect over MCP

Agents can call Cardnews through the Model Context Protocol instead of raw HTTP.

The server exposes five tools: list_templates, get_template_guide, create_render,

get_render, get_usage.

Terminal tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor)

These accept a header, so use your existing API key:

Browser connectors (claude.ai, ChatGPT)

These have no header field. Enter the server URL and sign in — you will be asked which

project to connect, and the connection appears under **Connected apps** in the console

where you can revoke it at any time.

Rendering is asynchronous

create_render returns a render id immediately; it does not wait. Poll get_render

starting three seconds later, then every three seconds. A ten-slide render takes about

thirty seconds in production.

Errors

Tool errors carry the same code / message / hint shape as the HTTP API.
